The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University anticipates faculty openings for tenure-track, assistant professor positions in the following areas: (i) physical cybersystems and -structures, including reconfigurable electronics and architectures, hardware-software co-design, device security, and RF electronics; as well as (ii) bioelectronics, including biosensing, terahertz imaging, virtual rehabilitation, and biosecurity.
We are also interested in candidates that can combine expertise in these areas with extreme-scale computing, cyber-security, devices, or communications. In addition, we particularly welcome candidates who contribute to broader application initiatives such as health, smart cities, or sustainable energy.
Outstanding applicants in all areas and at all ranks may also be considered.
A Ph.D. in EE, CE, CS or a related field is required. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and establishing independent research programs. Excellent facilities are available with opportunities for research affiliation with various university centers such as the Cloud and Autonomic Computing Center (CAC), the Microelectronics Research Laboratory (MERL), the Wireless Information Network Laboratory (WINLAB), as well as with local industry.
